Annual Appeal 2017

You can help connect disadvantaged students to the MCA’s creative learning programs.

Your donation will help break down barriers of finance and distance for students who have minimal access to the MCA and the opportunity to learn about contemporary art.

Through your generosity, we will provide FREE access to our ground-breaking learning programs to students from low socio-economic areas.

Our bespoke programs, led by MCA Artist Educators encourage excellence, innovation and creativity and engage students from a variety of backgrounds, including Indigenous and migrant backgrounds.

Our National Centre of Creative Learning, provides enriching experiences of contemporary art that develop and expand the creative capacity of students, through programs such as; Djurali – Youth Arts Careers Workshops for Indigenous visual arts students and our Schools Subsidy Program, which provides supported visits to the Museum for schools from low socio-economic areas in Greater Western Sydney.

You can help empower children, young people and their families by giving them skills, opportunities and experiences that will help shape their future.

Here’s how your tax deductible donation will help.

All donations of $2 or more are fully tax-deductible and donations of $1,500 or above will enable you to become an MCA Ambassador for a 12-month period.

  • Up to $100 will provide a weeks’ worth of art materials for our learning programs.
  • $250 will ensure our gallery exploration workbooks are free and accessible to all students.
  • $500 will contribute towards transportation for a school group from Western Sydney to the MCA to take part in a creative learning workshop.
  • $1,500 will help our Artist Educators deliver one creative learning workshop for to 30 students from a low socio economic area.
  • $5,000 (and above) will support accommodation and travel for up to 10 regional Indigenous students to participate in Djurali – Indigenous Youth Arts Careers Workshop at the MCA.
